This 205 has only ever been in California with three owners. Current owner was restoring it with the view to keeping it forever but a business opportunity has come up that is a more sensible investment. He currently has over $138,000 tied up in it with all the work that has been done. There is no hail, no corrosion and complete logs. Paint is new and interior is very recent. It is VERY shiny inside the fuselage and wings and has a very straight airframe. The 205 was a brief gap filler between the 182 and the 206. The sales of the 206 exceeded it and they stopped production after only two years. This is the forgotten step-child of Cessna but these are excellent planes. This can be considered a 260 HP injected six seat 182, or the "Little 206" It has two normal front doors like a 182 and a very large singe rear baggage door. It is a full six seater aand all 205's have huge useful loads. They actually fly better heavy than light. The fuseilage is exactly that of a P 206. the wings are exactly like off an early 70's 182. The tail is like on an late sixties 182, so all parts are available. These are one of the last cheap six seater load haulers. For the guy or gal that needs a 182 with more room and more power, but does not need the size or price of a 206. These planes are actually called "Super Skylane" This particular plane is exceptional in every way, all it needs is a good GPS Com to fill it's panel a little more.
